La Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) organiza a través su Círculo de Egresados, la Décima Copa de Golf CEU OPEN el día 28 octubre del presente año, en el prestigioso campo de golf Punta Espada, a beneficio del Programa de Becas Líderes del Mañana por la Educación.
La noticia se dio a conocer durante un cóctel encabezado por el rector de UNIBE, doctor Julio Amado Castaños Guzmán y el doctor Leandro Féliz Matos, Director General de Investigación, en el JW Marriott Santo Domingo y contó con la presencia de reconocidos golfistas del país, patrocinadores y ejecutivos del complejo turístico Cap Cana, así como de sus autoridades.
En el CEU OPEN los jugadores podrán participar en las categorías A, B y C bajo la modalidad Scramble en parejas. Entre los premios especiales se encuentran “Un Hoyo en Uno” de un vehículo Mazda CX-3, patrocinado por el Grupo Viamar, además premios para el Acercamiento de Bandera y Drive Más Largo. Como cada año, el evento estará enmarcado en un fin de semana de actividades.
Una vez más, el torneo contará con la tecnología VPAR que proporciona información de clasificación en tiempo real y permite conocer la posición que ocupan los participantes mientras se desarrolla el juego sin tener que esperar a que termine el evento.
CIRCULO DE EGRESADOS UNIBE Y LÍDERES DEL MAÑANA
El Círculo de Egresados de UNIBE (CEU) cree firmemente en que el desarrollo del país sólo se alcanzará elevando el nivel educativo de la población. Por esta razón, los egresados de esta academia se han comprometido en colaborar, mediante la recaudación de recursos, con los estudiantes de alto desempeño académico, vocación de liderazgo y espíritu emprendedor interesados en tener la oportunidad de estudiar en UNIBE, a través del Programa de Becas Líderes del Mañana.
Este Programa surge en 2007, auspiciado por la Fundación Hazoury, tiene el propósito de identificar jóvenes talentos que hayan demostrado durante su educación media un alto desempeño académico, compromiso social y aptitudes de liderazgo, con el fin de otorgarles facilidades para realizar sus estudios de educación superior en la Universidad Iberoamericana.
En este sentido, UNIBE no sólo ha jugado y sigue jugando un papel como institución académica, sino que se preocupa por fomentar una educación integral en estos jóvenes basada en el compromiso social, el liderazgo y la excelencia académica para que impacten positivamente en el desarrollo de su país.
